History
History is a college major that explores past events, cultures, and societies to better understand the present and shape the future. Students study a wide range of topics, including ancient civilizations, modern political movements, wars, revolutions, and social changes across the world. The major helps students develop strong research, writing, and critical thinking skills by analyzing historical documents and interpreting evidence. History majors learn to think deeply about cause and effect, human behavior, and global connections. This degree prepares students for careers in education, law, government, museums, research, or writing, and provides a strong foundation for many graduate programs.
