Meat Science
Meat Science is a specialized college major that focuses on the study of meat and other animal products, from production to processing and quality control. Students learn about animal biology, food safety, meat processing techniques, nutrition, and the science behind meat quality, preservation, and inspection. The major combines classroom learning with hands-on experience in labs and meat processing facilities. Students also study industry regulations and sustainability practices. A degree in meat science prepares graduates for careers in food production, meat inspection, quality assurance, product development, and research within the agricultural and food industries.
