Sports and Exercise Science
Sports and exercise science is a college major that focuses on how the body moves and performs during physical activity, exercise, and sports. Students learn about anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, nutrition, and fitness training. The program combines classroom instruction with hands-on lab work and practical experience to understand how to improve athletic performance, prevent injuries, and promote overall health. Sports and exercise science majors develop skills in assessment, coaching, and rehabilitation. This degree prepares graduates for careers in fitness training, physical therapy, athletic coaching, health promotion, or further study in medical or health-related fields.
