Neuroscience
Neuroscience is a college major that focuses on the study of the brain, nervous system, and how they affect behavior, thought, and bodily functions. Students explore topics such as brain anatomy, neural signaling, cognition, sensory systems, and neurological disorders. The major combines biology, psychology, chemistry, and even computer science to understand how the brain works on both a molecular and behavioral level. Through lab work and research, students gain hands-on experience studying brain function and neurological health. A degree in neuroscience prepares students for careers in medicine, research, mental health, biotechnology, or graduate studies in related fields.
