Studying to become a medical assistant equips students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to support physicians and healthcare teams in clinical and administrative settings. On the clinical side, they take patient vital signs, prepare exam rooms, assist during procedures, collect lab samples, and sometimes administer medications under supervision. Administratively, they handle scheduling, manage medical records, process insurance forms, and greet patients at the front desk.
